Apologies (for Pearl)

Hi there. “It’s been a while” doesn’t come close, does it?

I do however have a small piece that is very close to my heart I’d like to share with you today. I see writing not just as an escape from a dreary time, but also as a form of letting go, catharsis, for me personally. What I’ve however realised is that with this particular piece, almost everyone will have a line or two of their own hidden within. I hope it helps you finally let go as it has helped me…

I’m sorry, I was immatured22
I thought life would wait for me till I was very sure
I’m sorry, I was in such a haste
I thought that speeding up meant I wouldn’t be late
I’m sorry, I left you behind
I thought hanging around still wouldn’t really be kind
I’m sorry, I forgot about you
I thought it would be easy for you to do too
I’m sorry, I made this big mistake
I thought the love was gone but all I did was cause its’ break
I’m sorry, I’m back here again
Begging, reminding you of all that pain,
I’m sorry, I know it’s unfair,
Why I would do this just to wipe my conscience clear
I’m sorry, I can’t stress just how much
Oh what I’d give to feel once more your sincere touch

True, it’s being a while doesn’t even come near an inch of it, but as usual you do something that makes the absence seem like it never was……great piece. ..very thought provoking.

I get that feeling it gives you Nathalie. It’s kinda the exact feeling things end on sometimes. The risk here is trying to ‘force’ a satisfactory ending and ending up messing everything up even worse – like a good TV show that goes on too long *who mentioned Smallville?!* 😀
