My Fight Against Domedo And Oreo Milkshake.

It’s not easy to lose weight oo, herrhh! With all the domedo, icecream and oreo milk shake joints in the system, it takes special grace. Me, I’ve been trying hard waa to return to the stone-cut model figure I had just a few months, but alas, the six-pack keeps doing hide and seek with me, trying to get me to dig deeper. Literally.

Two of the things I’m doing trying to do often are morning jogs and no late eating. My broda, eeeezzzz nnoooottt eeaaassy! There’s also ‘Tieswag’, this brilliant side business I started last year with the intent to sell high quality, super fashionable designer neckties at affordable prices. I haven’t been able to give Tieswag the attention it needs since I started my current more-demanding job in Jan. I keep making moves to revive it, but eezz noootttt eeaassyy.

There are other things I’ve been trying to do as well that aren’t easy, like being a better Christian; one that’s more yielding, available and obedient to God, but eezz noootttt eeaassyy!!

I run with music in my ears, this morning, the song that was playing was ‘Forever’ by Kari Jobe. It had this part that says

“The ground began to shake, the stone was rolled away,

Now death, where is your sting?

My resurrected king has left you defeated

His perfect love could not be overcome.”

The tune is soo lit!

It reminded me of the verse that says “And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.”

Then I also remembered the times that he kept tempting Jesus and failing but still kept trying, then suddenly I had a new level of respect for the devil.

I mean this is a guy who knows exactly what’s going to happen in the end. It’s the one movie that everyone knows exactly how things are going to go down, because well, trust the Bible to be a ‘spoiler alert’ blog post.

So this guy knows that no matter how long it takes, no matter what he does, his end is shameful and fatal, but sttiiiiiiiilll look at the tireless energy he keeps fighting and lying and working with. He doesn’t hear kraa.

I mean, it’s a fact; God’s perfect love cannot be overcome and nothing can come between God and His obsession for you, but that doesn’t stop the devil from trying everyday. His past is flooded with failures, but he comes back with stronger temptations every day. At a point, after rebuking him saaaah, he flees, but he still returns after a while to check whatsup….this guy doesn’t get discouraged…so why should you?

You know the good intentions in your heart. You know that in spite of your weaknesses and all, you’re pressing on to the higher calling, so why should you give up, when the one who would do anything to have the kind of eternity you have just wont back down?! WHY?!

In this sense, let the devil inspire you. He who has the greatest GREATEST reason to give up is still tempting you today, devising new clever ways to distract you. He doesn’t have God on his side and he’s not giving up. WHY SHOULD YOU?

Why should you resign to take things as they come, why should you forget about those bold dreams? Why should you give up on your fight against Domedo and Oreo milk shakes? Why should you give up on your fight to get over that addiction?

Falling is inevitable, but it’s no excuse to stay down. A saint is a sinner who fell down and kept getting back up. Seven times we fall, seven times we rise. Until the devil gives up, you have no business giving up! You have God on your side and He’s sworn that He’s never giving up on you. In fact the saints in heaven are cheering you on in your pursuits and fights against domedo and all other vices. YOU. MUST. NEVER. GIVE. UP.

How dirty are you from your last failure? Dust off, be determined to make it, ask for grace and try again. Keep trying and trying and trying and trying till all that remains are testimonies. Then holler at ya bwoy Ben and let’s celebrate with some Domedo, ei sorry, fruit salad. Lol. Much love fam.

PS: Don’t keep! Share…& then subscribe ok :-)?

I like how you remind us that God is concerned with the human part of us as well. Who would think we need God to fight the temptations of domedo and Oreo milkshake. Glad I found this blog. It’s really refreshing. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

But the milkshake is tempting meehhnn..There’s a song at the end of the movie ‘Zootopia’ which goes like this,
    *’I won’t give up no I won’t give in
Till I reach the end and then I’ll start again
I wanna live I wanna try everything
I wanna try even though I could fail’*
I indeed want to try to be a good Christian, an obedient servant of God, I want to try to overcome the temptations that come with being a ‘proper’ Christian and until I get there I’m not giving up….wait for my testimony BenJ…God bless you always😊😊
